ATTENTION: it is strictly forbidden to kill brown trout, marble trout and the crossbreed Rižana trout! Fishing must be ended as soon as the daily catch is reached.

  • Restrictions
    The only way to fish here legally is fly fishing with fly rod and using all the kinds of fly lines and leaders. All the extra accessories that can put an extra weight on the lines and leaders in order to change their floating abilities are strictly forbidden! It is mandatory to use barbless hooks or hooks with barbs pressed! You can use only one artificial fly (wet, dry, streamer) on a single hook. The fisherman must have measuring tool and dehooker with him.

  • Fishing area
    From the fenced source of the Rižana river downstream to the soft dam at the inn under the highway bridge. At the very source of Rižana there is a dam (fenced part above the sluices), where fishing is not allowed, as there is a protected area - the water catchment of the Rižana waterworks.
